In the spirit of heart health, let’s explore a restorative yoga pose that opens the heart: Supported Fish Pose (Matsyasana). This gentle pose encourages relaxation and promotes deep breathing, allowing for a wonderful stretch across the chest and shoulders—perfect for nurturing both your physical and emotional heart health.

Key Tips for Supported Fish Pose:
1. Gather Props: Use a yoga block, bolster, or thick pillow to support your back.
2. Position Yourself: Lie on your back with the prop placed under your upper back, allowing your head to gently rest on the ground or on another prop.
3. Open Your Arms: Extend your arms out to the sides, palms facing up, and let your shoulders relax away from your ears.
4. Breathe Deeply: Close your eyes and focus on your breath. Allow your chest to expand as you inhale and soften as you exhale. Hold for several breaths, enjoying the spacious opening of your heart.
